Building upon a long-standing partnership with Hotwire Communications, Ghetto Youths Foundation has sent three 22,000 watts (500 lb) generators to Westmoreland and St. Elizabeth. The first two generators have been delivered to the historic Mannings School in Savannah La Mar, and to the critical Community Health Center in Petersfield, Westmoreland. Each generator can power an entire school, hospital, or shelter, providing urgently needed access to power.
“We are honored to support Ghetto Youths Foundation’s hurricane relief efforts,” said Jeff Lawson, Vice President of Engineering for
Hotwire Communications. “Since 2000, Hotwire Communications has supported Ghetto Youths Foundation – Stephen, Damian, and Julian Marley – in their Jamaica-based projects, including education, community-building and connectivity. In this time of great need for the people of Jamaica, we are thrilled to provide these generators to support recovery and resilience.”
